A man has been arrested after burglars armed with a machete and knife raided a Carlisle property.
Police are investigating the incident, at Waldegrave Road yesterday, January 13, at 7.45am.
It was reported two males entered a property with a knife and machete.
A 49-year-old man suffered minor injuries to his hands.
A 31-year-old from Carlisle was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and released on police bail.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses who saw two men with black jackets with their hoods up and faces partially covered, in or around that area at that time is encouraged to contact police.
