Accountancy firm David Allen has announced the expansion of its marketing and communication team.

Marketing executive Jemima Elgey and marketing apprentice Sophie Edmondson have joined the firm.

The team, which now comprises of six marketing professionals, cover all the marketing for all five of the David Allen offices and its array of business solutions such as accountancy, financial services, IT solutions and debt recovery.

Holly Housby, David Allen’s marketing and business development manager, said: ‘I am delighted to expand the team further, welcoming both Jemima and Sophie.

“David Allen as a brand is all about supporting local talent – and we certainly have plenty of that within the marketing department. Bringing in more expertise with Jemima’s role and then Sophie as marketing apprentice, gives us the capacity to fulfil our ambitious strategic plans for 2022, alongside nurturing and developing our in-house talent.

Jemima, previously marketing executive for The Lanes Shopping Centre in Carlisle, has a degree in fashion communication from Northumbria University,

She said: “I have been welcomed with open arms by the team at David Allen. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to work among such a specialist team, who collectively share such enthusiasm for marketing. I particularly look forward to implementing our exciting digital and social plans for the year ahead.”

Sophie is the marketing team’s first apprentice and will be attending the University of Central Lancashire once a week to continue to study for a degree in digital marketing.

Sophie said: “Having completed work experience at David Allen before beginning university, I was determined to join the team in the future. I look forward to learning and further enhancing my knowledge.”
