There was mixed fortunes for Cumbria’s three Championship sides when they entered the draw for the fourth round of the Challenge Cup.
Workington Town have a nice home draw against Dewsbury Rams, a fellow Championship side but neighbours Whitehaven and Barrow must travel.
Both have to await third round matches before they know their destination on the weekend of February 26/28.
Whitehaven will either be going to National Conference League side Rochdale Mayfield or the League One side Doncaster.
Barrow have a similar amateur/professional alternative as they await the third round tier on the week-end of February 12/13 between Lock Lane and Rochdale Hornets.
It won’t be lost on Barrow coach Paul Crarey that the Castleford amateurs Lock Lane went to Oldham on Sunday and recorded a shock 22-12 victory.
