Two men have appeared in court charged with two counts of false imprisonment and two of robbery.

Jordan Barrett, 22, and Ted Richards, 23, faced magistrates in Carlisle yesterday.

Both are alleged to have robbed and unlawfully imprisoned Jack Bell at his Moorhouse Road home between February 10, 2020 and February 11, 2020.

They are both also accused of robbing and unlawfully imprisoning Oliver Bellingham at the same address and during the same time period.

No pleas were entered during the hearing.

Barrett, of Red Bank Square in Carlisle, and Richards, of Empire Square in London, will appear before Carlisle Crown Court on March 10.

Both men were remanded in custody.
