Former Fire Station Ulverston

Ulverston’s former fire station is on the market for £110,000.

The single-storey building on a 0.21-acre site on the Elders is being sold at auction by Landwood.

Also up for sale is an ex-day centre on Cavendish Street, with a guide price of £65,000.

The unique properties being sold by Cumbria County Council, offer great development potential, according to auctioneers Landwood.

The former fire station, situated on a 0.21-acre site on The Elders, has guide price of £110,000-plus.

The two-storey self-contained commercial premises is 2,756 sq ft.

They are both being sold by Cumbria County Council.

Landwood Property auctions director James Ashworth said: “We’re absolutely delighted to continue our relationship with Cumbria County Council and offer for sale these two unique properties with such great development potential.

“Depending on what the local planning office will permit, the fire station site could be transformed into an incredible development or enjoy a further lease of life as commercial premises, while the future of the day centre could comprise a variety of uses.”

Bidding for both properties opens on February 23.
