Mayor of Grange Tricia Thomas with Kelly Shaw and Heydays South Lakes team

South Lakes and Furness home care provider Heydays Care and Support Services has opened a second office.

Its second base in Grange-over-Sands was officially opened by mayor Tricia Thomas.

Dawn Darby, co-founder and registered manger, said: “Opening a new office in Grange is particularly special to us; it’s nice to return to the town where Heydays was first founded back in 2011”.

Kelly Shaw, co-founder and manager, added: “Since we opened, lots of clients and families of clients have popped in to see us; it’s a lovely welcoming space to greet people.

“We’re also relaunching our monthly activity club this month, which had to be paused due to the pandemic.

“The new office gives us a great facility from which to run these clubs! The monthly clubs are something we love doing as it’s a great way for people to socialise – our job isn’t just about providing care but enhancing people’s lives through social interaction and stimulation.”

Heydays took over the former H&H Land and Estates premises in last summer and completed an extensive renovation, including remodelling the interior to create open plan office space, a large meeting and activity room, a new kitchen and an accessible bathroom.
