A Cumbrian charity is looking for the next Pawcasso as it launches a drawing competition.
Oak Tree Animals’ Charity recently launched its Art for Animals Drawing Competition and is looking for entrants to design a Bag for Life for it to sell in its shop and charity shops.
They are asking children to simply draw a dog, cat, horse (or all three) on the specifically designed entry sheet, to be in with a chance of their artwork featuring on Oak Tree’s Bag for Life.
They are looking for the most detailed, creative, eye-catching design to use on their bags, and want you to let your creative juices flow using paint, pens or pencils.
Entry sheets can be downloaded from oaktreeanimals.org.uk/Events or collected from Reception at Oak Tree Farm, Wetheral Shields, Carlisle CA4 8JA. Entry costs £2 per design with all monies raised going to support animals in need.
The deadline for entries is April 1 and the winner will be announced at the Easter Dogs’ Day Out on April 9, where all entries will be displayed for the public to see.
Oak Tree’s Events Fundraiser, Cathreen Mieras, said “This is a chance for children to get really creative and do something amazing for animals at the same time. Who doesn’t want a chance to have their artwork printed professionally on a Bag for Life?
“We are encouraging people to head to site to get some inspiration – we’re open every day, 10am-4pm.”
Visit Oak Tree’s website to find out more about the competition, how to enter and the all-important terms and conditions.
