The body of a woman found in Burgh by Sands has been formally identified as missing Carlisle woman Sophie Burns.
Police found a body yesterday in the Burgh by Sands area after a search operation lasting more than two months.
The 28-year-old, of Dalton Crescent in Carlisle, had last been seen on December 12.
The circumstances are not believed to be suspicious.
A file has been prepared for the coroner.
