Police are appealing for witnesses and footage of an incident of dangerous driving in Carlisle.

A silver Volvo V70 failed to stop for police on Beverley Rise, before engaging in a short pursuit in the Harraby area at 7pm on Friday March 18.

A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, failing to stop a mechanically propelled vehicle when required by a constable, using a motor vehicle on a road without third party insurance and driving a motor vehicle which had been taken without the owners consent. He has been released under investigation.

Officers are also keen to establish the location of the silver 05 plate Volvo V70.The vehicle has a distinctive amber beacon on the roof.
