The Lake District former home of award-winning film director Ken Russell is on the market for more than £1.5 million.
Coombe Cottage, in the Borrowdale Valley, features gardens designed and developed by Russell’s wife Vivian, the well-known garden writer and photographer.
The four-bedroom cottage has been upgraded by the present owners. It dates back to the 1860s and is four miles south of Keswick.
The cottage also has three bathrooms, dining kitchen, two first floor living rooms, rear balcony, garage and garden room. It is being sold by Hackney & Leigh.
