Memorial walk for Max the Miracle Dog

Max the Miracle Dog was awarded the PDSA Order of Merit for outstanding contribution to society

People are to join together to remember the life of Max the Miracle Dog.

A Memorial Walk for Max will take place on Sunday from Keswick Rugby Club to Calfclose Bay.

People are asked to wear orange for Max while taking part in a firm favourite walk of the springer spaniel who died last week.

He was 14.

A statement posted by the Max Out in the Lake District Facebook page said: “Lots of photo opportunities and swimming. A level walk on public footpath, taking in Hope Park, Stable Hills to Calfclose Bay. Distance around 2.5 miles inclusive.

“Donations on the day please for Hope Park Charitable Trust, the home of Max’s statue https://www.gofundme.com/f/Hope-Park-and-Max-statue-Keswick“

Keswick Rugby Club Car Park, Crow Park (what3words ///gilding.rarely.hairspray) – £4 all day and includes overnight parking* to 9am CA12 5EG

*No overnight parking for campervans/mobile homes

Attendees are asked to pick up after their dogs and to keep them under strict control at all times.

People are asked to arrive at 10.15am ready for a 10.30am start.
