Carlisle residents reminded of bank holiday bin collection changes

Carlisle City Council is reminding residents about changes to its services this weekend.

Information about Carlisle City Council services is as follows:

Customer Contact

The council’s customer contact team will be available until 4pm tomorrow. You will be able to contact them again from 9am on Tuesday. 

You can access our online services at www.carlisle.gov.uk

May Bank Holiday refuse and recycling collection

Refuse and recycling collections will be a day later than usual following the May Bank Holiday. 

Usual refuse and recycling date and May Bank Holiday collection date:

  • Monday, May 2 (Bank Holiday Monday) – Collecting Tuesday, May 3.
  • Tuesday, May 3 – Collecting Wednesday, May 4.
  • Wednesday, May 4 – Collecting Thursday, May 5.
  • Thursday, May 5 – Collecting Friday, May 6.
  • Friday, May 6 – Collecting Saturday, May 7.

Collections return to normal from Monday, May 9 onwards.
