Volunteers from Workington RNLI spent six hours towing a broken-down fishing boat home.
The crew was called at around 2.30pm to help the vessel, which had broken down 20 miles south west of Workington. It had two people on board.
The all-weather lifeboat was launched and attached a tow to the 28ft boat and towed it back to Whitehaven. The lifeboat returned to its base at 8.31pm.
