Walby Farm Park, near Carlisle, is celebrating after winning a Travellers Choice Award from review platform Tripadvisor.
It means it is in the top 10 per cent of attractions worldwide and is based on reviews left by visitors over the last 12 months.
The family-run attraction, at Crosby-on-Eden, is also a finalist in the Cumbria Tourism Awards.
It has been shortlisted in the Large Visitor Attraction of the Year category and the winners are announced on July 8.
Katie Milbourn, director at Walby Farm Park, said: “This means so much to our whole team – they’re a reflection of the hard work that goes into making Walby a place families want to come back to again and again.”
This summer also marks a significant milestone for the farm park, as Walby celebrates its 18th birthday on July 5.
The team behind Walby Farm Park said they were determined to keep things moving rather than stand still.
Listening closely to customer feedback and changing visitor habits has shaped much of the farm park’s recent growth, and led to the development of a wider programme of grown-up, after-hours events designed for an audience the farm park hasn’t traditionally reached, including work colleagues looking for a different kind of night out, young adults who may be returning to Walby for the first time since visiting as children, groups of friends, couples on date nights, and anyone wanting to experience the farm park after dark.
