Be among first to buy a Grenadier – thanks to Lloyd Motor Group

Carlisle will become the home of one of the first UK showrooms for the INEOS Grenadier, thanks to a partnership with Lloyd Motor Group.

The Grenadier is a rugged 4×4. INEOS came up with the idea in 2017 when it said it identified a gap in the market and the firm said it wanted to build the world’s purest 4×4, aimed at explorers, farmers and off-road enthusiasts across the world.

Production will start in July at the company’s factory at Hambach, on the German border.

It has joined forces with well-established Cumbrian family firm Lloyd Motor Group to build a new bespoke showroom at Carlisle’s Kingstown Industrial Estate, creating new jobs.

Tim Aspinall

Brian Lloyd, chief executive of Lloyd Motor Group, said: “This is an exciting new partnership for our customers and us. The INEOS Grenadier is a no-nonsense and seriously capable 4X4 designed as a rugged, capable and comfortable go-anywhere working vehicle. We are confident this will be a perfect fit for our customers across Cumbria and the Scottish Borders.”

Off-road and 4×4 expert Tim Aspinall has also joined the team at Lloyd Motor Group as part of the partnership.
