Carlisle’s Cumbria county scrum-half James Telford is moving next season to play for Tynedale.
Telford was with Cumbria for the final County Championship game against Warwickshire on Saturday and missed the Carlisle presentation night.
In his absence his mother Jackie was presented with a shirt from the Carlisle club in appreciation of his efforts throughout his career as he’d come through the age group ranks.
Telford was club captain in the season just ended and sees the move to Tynedale who play in National Two North as a step-up and a chance to further his career. He leaves with thanks and all good wishes from the Carlisle club.
