Make a lasting memory with a cast of your hands – or a pet’s paw

Dani Hammond, of Vybrant Beauty

A Carlisle beautician is offering casts of hands and feet to her customers and their pets.

Dani Hammond, owner of Vybrant Beauty, began making casts about 10 years ago to document her daughter’s early childhood. She is now offering this as a service to her clients.

Previously a lecturer in make-up artistry at Carlisle College, Dani uses a mould to create plaster casts of hands and feet. These casts can then be finished in silver or gold and mounted on a plinth or in a frame.

She said double-hand casts for couples were popular and there was also a demand for casts of pet’s paws.

Setting up her own business is the realisation of a long-held dream for Dani. After the COVID pandemic caused her to revaluate her priorities, Dani launched Vybrant Beauty in January.

Vybrant Beauty is above Ruby Jules hair salon in Carlisle city centre.
