Brewery Arts’ Summer Showcase to celebrate its 50th anniversary takes place next month.
Performers aged four to 60-plus have created a range of shows inspired by the Kendal centre’s past, present and future and will be on stage on Saturday July 2.
The showcase will be an evening of dance, drama and music created by the local community who are creative learning students in celebration of the arts.
Brewery Arts’ dance engagement officer Emily Davies has choreographed five new pieces in collaboration with her students.
She said: “I’m so looking forward to seeing each and every one of them shine on stage. Particularly those for whom it will be their first time performing!”
Emily Baxter, Brewery Arts’ theatre engagement officer, said: “This will be the first time our youth and adult classes have come together to perform in the theatre.
“There will be a range of things from hungry wolves, Brewery Arts ghosts, and a celebration of all things creative learning in dance, music production, film, visual art, singing, drama and even ukuleles!”
Tickets are £6 to £8 and can be bought from www.breweryarts.co.uk or by calling 01539 725 133.
