A woman was raped in the early hours of Sunday after leaving a Carlisle bar with a man.
Police were initially contacted by a third party at around 3.50am, who reported that a woman in her 20s was in distress in Walkabout.
The woman subsequently told police she had been raped while she was with the man in Collier Lane. She left the bar with him at around 3am.
The woman is receiving support from specialist officers and partners.
Anyone with information about this incident which may assist officers is urged to come forward.
