Hunter’s Flame back to winning ways in the senior trail for Caroline Graham.

Caroline Graham’s Hunter’s Flame roared back to winning form back at Wardhall last night.

Alan O’Fee’s Barncroft Spirit had led the senior trail for most of the way only for Hunter’s Flame to produce a telling burst on the finish to win with Miterdale Dusk in third.

Following success at Saturday’s International Mark Bryden’s kennel continued their winning ways with Eagle Girl taking the puppy trail, clear of second-placed Lady Million and title contender Silver Streak back in third.

Biggest field of the night contested the final trail for open restricted hounds with 22 being slipped.

Carlisle’s Lee Wall enjoyed a comfortable win as Denton Balboa finished on its own well clear of the pursuers.

Bob, owned by Tony Irving and family, just got his head in front on the line to pip Cracking Last One Two for the Mellon family of Appleby.

Although entries were down on Tuesday’s Wardhall meeting it was a good night for trailing and enjoyed by the spectators.

Many hounds were  being rested for the prestigious Bitch Produce trails which are being held at Dubbs Lane, Windermere tomorrow, first trail 1pm.
