In the West Cumbria Mixed Triples League three of the four scheduled second round ties in the Knock-Out Cup were completed.
The tie between Workington A and Harris Park B was postponed because of adverse weather.
In those matches that were played Whitehaven B beat Seascale 6-3; Harris Park A lost their town derby at home to Croft 7-2 while last year’s winners Wigton lost 7-2 at Whitehaven A.
A league match between Workington B and Seaton which was scheduled to be played on 19 May, but which was postponed, was played last week and resulted in a 6-3 victory for the Workington team.
In the West Cumbria Fours League, sponsored by Whitehaven Trophies, Whitehaven A took over at the top of the table after their 7-0 win at bottom side Vulcan Park, aided by the fact that the match between Fitz Park and Workington A was postponed.
On the same evening Seaton won 7-0 at Whitehaven B; Cleator Moor were 4-3 winners at Workington B and Maryport won a very close game at Harris Park 4-3.
