
Kells A and Seaton A made progress in the CARL Cup with convincing victories.
Against neighbours Hensingham A, a dominant second-half performance from Kells took them clear after they had led 18-10 at the break.
They were able to score 20 unanswered points as they ran out comfortable 38-10 winners.
Man of the match Sam Murtagh scored four tries while Owen Martin, Daniel Starkie, Dylan Grears and Richard Marrs also crossed. Starkie landed three conversions.
Hensingham’s two tries were scored by Tyler Richardson and Terry Pattinson while their man of the match Jack Kellett landed one conversion.
Seaton A held a 24-10 lead over Egremont A at half-time in their Cup clash and eventually ran out 48-28 winners.
They scored nine tries, six of which were converted by man of the match Brendon Walker. Touching down were John Chisnall (2), Todd Wilkinson (2), Matthew Maynard, Ben Postlethwaite, Aidan Fryer and James Robinson.
The Egremont tries were scored by Sam Williams (2), Nathan Preston, Lee Rogers, Lee Cruner with two conversions from Kaiden Block and one by Lee Rogers. Dylan Biggins was the Egremont man of the match.
There was only one game in the Premier League because of postponements and Lowca scored a good 34-22 win at Wath Brow A.
Luke Spivey, Luke Davidson, Daley Stables and Matthew Sibbold scored the Wath Brow tries, three of which were converted by Jenson Olstrom.
For Lowca there were tries from Dean Haigh, Mitchell Todd, Paul McNally, Jordan Allen, Luke Stockton and Emerson Allen. Jamie Scott landed three goals and Kewith Campbell put over two.
