The Robin Dunn Memorial Trophy finals day is being staged at Workington’s Valentine Ground on Sunday.
After three groups of T20 action across the county the four semi-finalists will meet-up to settle this season’s competition.
Cumbria League Premier Division champions Furness will be there to defend their T20 title, taking part in the second semi-final against Haverigg at 2.15pm.
Hosts Workington get the competition underway with the first semi-final against Cockermouth at 11.30am. The final is set for a 5.45pm start.
Furness won all their games in the south group which comprised of five teams and the runners-up Haverigg also won through to the semi-finals by winning three of their four games.
When they met last Thursday, Furness overwhelmed Haverigg by nine wickets.
Workington won all four games in the west section, beating Whitehaven and Egremont home and away. Cleator had elected not to play in the group.
In the four-strong north group, where everyone played the others once, Cockermouth, Wigton and Carlisle all won two of their three games.
The winners were decided by run rate and it was Cockermouth who went through from Wigton.
Meanwhile the League have announced that this season’s Higson Cup final will be played at Whitehaven on Sunday, August 21 between Workington and Wigton.
Workington, the holders, won at Furness last Sunday while Wigton had a home victory against Cockermouth.
As far as the Cumbria League’s Premier Division is concerned the battle for the title is still as intense as ever.
There’s just a point between Cockermouth at the top and their nearest pursuers, long time leaders Carlisle.
The wish is that this closely-fought contest won’t be decided by the weather, with one team being rained-off while the other completes their fixture.
Showers are forecast for the county on Saturday, and with Cumbria being so widespread some parts can be affected while others miss out.
Interestingly Carlisle and Cockermouth are playing at opposite ends of the county this week-end.
Carlisle entertain bottom-of-the-table Whitehaven while Cockermouth visit Millom.
The battle to avoid the drop is also hotting up with Haverigg winning a cliffhanger at Egremont last week by one wicket.
It leaves Whitehaven, Egremont and Dalton as looking the most vulnerable.
On Saturday the key game is Dalton v Egremont while Haverigg entertain Wigton.
In the other games Workington travel to Keswick with Cleator hosting Furness.
