The A66 is partially blocked following a collision at Junction 40 of the M6.
The collision happened at the roundabout and there is heavy traffic, due to a mixture of holiday traffic and people heading to Kendal Calling.
There are queues on A66 both ways at A686 Carleton Avenue (Kemplay Bank Roundabout). Congestion to the M6. Also seeing delays on the A6 through Eamont Bridge.
Congestion to the M6 J41 (Catterlen) Southbound and back to the Temple Sowerby bypass. Also delays on the road from Yanwath to Askham.
At 1.36pm, it was reported that the A6 at Eamont Bridge was blocked both ways, following a collision between Skirsgill Lane and The Beehive Inn.
