
There will be 500 lots of toys, dolls, bears, comics and models up for auction at Mitchells next Vintage & Antique Toy & Model Sale on Thursday August 4, including private collections of Charlie Bears and 00 gauge locomotives.
The most valuable lot in the sale is expected to be a late 1960s Sasha girl doll, with no philtrum, blonde hair, and wearing a brown dress which has an auction estimate of £400-£600.
Other dolls for sale include a Barbie & Midge Travel Pals case, with four vinyl dolls and clothing with an estimate of £50-£80 and two 1960s Sindy and Paul dolls, with ‘Made in Hong Kong’ to the back of their heads, also with an estimate of £50-£80.
Teddy bears
A large number of Charlie Bears from a private collection are up for auction including two mother and baby bears Grizelle and Grace, which are expected to make £80-£120.
Other bears for sale are a 1950s Schuco Tricky Yes/No teddy bear, with tail operating head mechanism, which has an estimate of £150-£200 and a Bear Bits artist’s teddy bear named Orion, modelled as a black bear with brown muzzle, which should make £50-£80.
Trains
The sale features a large private collection of 00 gauge model locomotives including a Hornby 00 gauge super detail EWS diesel electric Class 08 Andy Bower locomotive with an estimate of £50-£80 and a Hornby 00 gauge Serco rail test train pack R2437, comprising red/black livery Isle of Iona locomotive, test wagon, and coaches which is expected to make £80-£120. A live 1.5in gauge steam locomotive and six wheel tender has an estimate of £150-£250.
Other notable lots

Other notable lots include a German tinplate fire engine and fire station by Johann Distler, with JDN trademark, which should make £100-£150.
Also for sale are two Britains Racing Colours lead jockeys and horses, including Sir Winston Churchill racing colours, which have an estimate of £50-£80 for the pair.
A collection of approximately 40 The Incredible Hulk themed comics, including Marvel Comics Group and Rampage Magazine, should sell for £40-£60.
Also for sale is a Tricks Co. Ltd. multiple watch production magic trick set, together with a wooden open front production box for revealing rabbits or doves which could make £30-£50.
