Mossley, who will open the NPL West season at Workington on Saturday, completed their preparations against Chris Willcock’s Stalybridge Celtic.
Willcock, who took Reds to runners-up spot last season and within a goal of the title, has rebuilt the Celtic side after they just avoided relegation from the Premier Division.
They led 2-0 at Mossley but conceded two late goals as the Oldham side came back to draw.
A former Workington player scored the first Celtic goal – full-back Kyle Harrison whom Willcock signed for the West Cumbrians last season when he was one of the top performers.
Willcock has recently added the former Carlisle United defender Tom Miller to his squad who start their NPL campaign on Saturday with a tough trip to promotion favourites South Shields.
Miller was with Carlisle from 2015 to 2017 and played 87 times for the Brunton Park side, netting seven times.
Now aged 32, Miller had played over 100 games for Lincoln City but in more recent times he has played non-league with Fylde and Radcliffe.
On the second Saturday of the season Willcock will have a reunion with three of his former Workington players as Celtic host Lancaster who will include Brad Carroll, Brad Hubbold and Nico Evangelinos.
