Divers called in to search for missing Lake District paddleboarder

Divers have been called in to help with the search for a missing Lake District paddleboarder.

Other agencies involved include Coastguard and helicopters, Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team, Cumbria Fire and Rescue, Maryport Inshore Rescue and North West Underwater Search Team.

Emergency services were called to Ullswater on Sunday after the man, from Greater Manchester, got into difficulty on the water at around 1.10pm.

Searches have been confirmed by Cumbria police as ongoing and the man remains unaccounted for.

People are asked to stay clear of the vicinity while emergency services continue to work.
