The HTA held two meetings last night and these days it means one will suffer for a shortage of runners.

Calebreak’s three-trail meeting attracted 69 but at Rusland the four trails there only drew 23 entries.

At Calebreak it was Brian Graham’s Reebok who won the senior hounds leading home Debbie and Lana McGee’s Apache and Nicola McMaster’s Martha in third.

It was Reebok’s second win of the season as a senior but has picked up eight minor tickets.

Huntsman’s Rebel was out again and the little red bitch showed her class again romping to her 21st win of the season and looks to have the championship in safe keeping.

She again finished in front of Lady Million which was a repeat of the one-two at the HTA Premier trails on Saturday.

James and Eleanor Irving’s Overwater Flash won the open restricted, beating Julie Birkenshaw’s Breton.

Over at Rusland it proved a good night for the Steel family as they won three of the four races and took home a couple of minor tickets too.

The senior trail went to their Miterdale Dusk, which beat Jenny’s Oracle; Miterdale Shade surprised Ned’s Gain by winning the pups and the treble was completed in the open restricted when Miterdale Honesty beat Geoff and Barbara Jones’ Lilly.

The only race not won by a Miterdale kennel hound was the open maidens which went to Roy Laidler’s Cuckoo Lane from the Barrow hound Amber Bay owned by Norman and Lynn Brown.

Sophie Steel with Millie and Isla and Rusland puppy trail winner Miterdale Shade.

The next trailing night is Wednesday when there is one meeting at Cold Fell.
