
The West Cumbria Amalgamation has changed the race programme to complete the young bird season.
It will now finish on September 10 from Cheltenham and the planned final race from Marlborough will be cancelled.
There have been hiccups so far with delays until both organisation could liberate together at Appleton last Saturday and the previous week’s planned race from Appleton had to be cancelled because of the weather.
The Amalgamation birds will go to Cannock tonight for a Saturday liberation and they will also race from there the following Saturday (September 3) leaving Cheltenham to bring the curtain down on the season on September 10.
Due to the revised race programme Flimby West Coast’s open race will now be from Cheltenham on the weekend of September 10.
There will be one more race for local fanciers on September 17 when the Cleator Moor A ring race is set to be staged from Yeovil with basketing details to follow nearer the time.
