
Northside show no signs of losing their focus as they push towards a repeat of last season’s successful campaign.
The quadruple winners have started the new Workington Sunday League season in top form and in their latest test saw off Senhouse 8-0.
Tommy Whitehead led the way with a hat-trick while both Callum Killick and Jaden Scott grabbed a brace. Ethan Heron supplied the eighth goal.
Blue Bell have also started well and they proved too strong for Sun Athletic with a 7-1 victory.
Greg Quayle led the way with a hat-trick while Luke Knowles notched a couple. Carl Denver and Maxwell Steven were the other scorers.
Louis Elliott hit a consolation goal for the Aspatria side.
Sun Inn, however, were successful in their fixture, hitting seven goals without reply against Seaton Rangers.
Malcolm Graham was the week-end’s third hat-trick hero with Ewan Trestianu (2), Harry Creighton and Keiran McCluskey completing the list of scorers.
Dearham were 4-0 winners over Maryport Athletic as James Langstaff and Attlee Skillen scored two each for the villagers.
Salterbeck’s good start to the season crashed to a halt as they were beaten at home 5-1 by Flimby Social.
Katl Fillingham (2), David Conway, Matthew Heaney (pen) and, Brandon Lee Birk scored for Flimby with Nathan Brash replying for the hosts.
Deer Orchard were involved in the tightest game of the day beating Rangers 1-0 at Wakefield Road.
