Kells produced an impressive second half comeback to beat Egremont Rangers in the West Cumbrian derby in National League Division One.
Egremont, who had beaten Kells at Gillfoot in the opening day of the season, were going well for a double as they led 12-10 at half-time.
But the home side stormed back ruthlessly to take control of the game and had fashioned a big 38-12 before Egremont scored again with a try by Sam Williams.
However Kells even had the last word as they ran out 44-16 winners to stay top of the league by a point from Dewsbury Celtic.

Egremont had done well to get themselves in front by the break with tries from Joe Lewis and Tom Houghton, while Lewis added two goals.

Kells produced some outstanding rugby in the second half and in the end finished with eight tries from Tyce Walmsley (2), Lewis Smith (2), Ross Gainford, James Ennis, Clarke Chambers and Jacob Hodgson. Gainford kicked six goals.
