A Lake District Hotel and Spa has created a new VIP card for dogs.

Lakeside Hotel & Spa, owned by the independent hotel group Classic Lodges, has launched a free Very Important Pooch card, which gives dogs and their owners additional privileges and benefits when staying at the hotel.

Classic Lodges extended its dog-friendly capabilities in 2019 to all 11 of its properties, each with a number of dog friendly rooms chosen for their location, size and access to hotel grounds. The VIP card is designed to take their dog-friendly accommodation one step further.

Dogs and their guests who have a VIP card will straight away receive a collapsible dog bowl to keep, Harringtons fresh bake treats, breakfast for their dogs each morning and information on local walks and dog friendly places to visit.

Within the package, dogs and their owners will also receive advance notice of Classic Lodges seasonal leisure offers as well as exclusive member and voucher offers.

Ben Mayou, General Manager at Lakeside Hotel & Spa, said: “We’re excited to offer our Very Important Pooch card – and there seems to be no time better than the present.

“Dogs are more a part of family experiences then ever – hoteliers that don’t encourage residents to bring their pooches will be left behind. Classic Lodges is thrilled to accommodate dogs that come along with our customers without compromising our promise of luxury and the highest standards of hospitality.”
