A health and wellbeing fun day is set to be held on Sunday in Kendal.
The free event is aimed at primary school children and their families but everyone is welcome to attend.
It will take place at Kendal Leisure Centre between 10am and 4pm.
There will be a range of fun health and wellbeing activities including games, sports, information stands, demonstrations from local clubs and health and wellbeing checks.
The event is a Kendal Integrated Care Community and Kendal Leisure Centre initiative supported by a range of partners.
Cara Stride, development lead for Kendal ICC, said: “We are so pleased to have the Sunday Fun Day back at Kendal Leisure Centre this year. We’re looking forward to all the fun activities to get stuck into. There will be games to play, new hobbies to try and skills to learn. A free day of fun for all the family.”
The health and wellbeing event first took place in November 2018 as Sunday Fun Day but over the past few years was postponed due to the COVID pandemic. It has been renamed this year as Common Health Day to tie in with the Commonwealth Games which took place earlier this year.
This year’s event is supported by University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust, North West Ambulance Service, Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust, Kendal Youth Zone, Lakeland Youth Council, Brathay, Headway South Cumbria, Active Cumbria, GLL Better Leisure, North Cumbria Integrated Care Foundation Trust, Kendal Rugby Club, The Kendalians, Wheels for All and Razzamataz Theatre Schools South Lakes.
