Emergency services are currently dealing with a two-vehicle collision on the M6.
It happened on the southbound carriageway, near Carlisle.
Drivers are asked to seek alternative routes if possible as there may be delays.
It happened between Junction 42 and Southwaite services and was reported at 7.45am, police said.
