Workington RNLI volunteers battled bad weather to help a vessel which got into difficulty off Maryport.
The all-weather lifeboat was called by the Coastguard at 3.40pm yesterday, November 2, after a 22m vessel became adrift.
Workington’s all weather lifeboat was launched at 3.55pm. High winds and heavy rain made reaching the vessel a tricky operation for the volunteer crew, who managed to attach a tow and bring the vessel into Maryport safely.
The crew returned to Workington boathouse at around 5.30pm.
