Workington and District Sunday League has a new secretary to replace long-serving Ron Caffrey.
Jodie Grainger has taken over the secretarial duties and will be dealing with her first results this week-end.
A keen former player with Yankees, Workington Diamonds and Kendal Ladies she has also been a club secretary for three years.
“I was secretary for The Junction FC and they have now changed their name to Seaton Rangers FC,” she says.
But her remit is wider than the Workington Sunday League as she’s taken on other secretarial roles for the Cumberland FA including the Ability Counts League, the Under-16s League and the Women’s League.
Long-serving Sunday League secretary Ron Caffrey has been looking for a replacement for some time now and is delighted that Jodie has been handed his position.
