Aspatria will have the stage to themselves in Cumbria on Saturday by staging the only league game in the county.
They are hosting Stockton in Regional Two North, a game postponed from earlier in the season.
Aspatria’s Barney Clegg said: “It was the weekend of the Queen’s death and Stockton took up the option not to play and agree a new date.”
Stockton currently sit next to bottom of the table in the second relegation position and the Black Reds will see this as having the potential to record a good win and move up the table.
Regional Two North has virtually split into two separate leagues of six and six, and a good win for the Bower Park side would take them to mid-table – leading the bottom six.
Both teams lost narrowly last Saturday – Aspatria 23-17 at home to Durham City and Stockton by 20-18 at fellow strugglers South Shields Westoe.
Aspatria suffered no injuries in that game and apart from long-term injured centre Matthew Wilson, coach Mike Scott will have a full squad to pick from.
Clegg added: “We are hoping that being the only League game in the county a few enthusiasts will get their weekly rugby fix at Bower Park.
“They will be most welcome and we are showing the England v New Zealand game in the club afterwards.”
Kick-off at Bower Park is 2.15pm.
