A distraught couple have put up a £500 reward after their cat went missing while they were on a Lake District holiday.
Gael and Carl O’Brien, of Wigan, were staying overnight at Windermere’s Kotel when Carl took Babes out in a harness at 1.30am on Monday, November 14.
However, the four-year-old ginger and white cat managed to slip his harness and run off into the night.
He has not been seen since and despite the couple returning to the area every day since then and spending hours searching, there have been no sightings.
They have now offered a £500 reward for anyone who helps find him to get him home.
Carl said: “He is ginger and white, has a front missing fang tooth and has a slight slice at the tip of one of his ears.

“He is a very scared cat in general and will not approach anyone. He will 100 per cent be hiding out and he will be petrified.
“He is chipped and neutered and the local vets in Windermere have a post about him on their webpage and also gave his microchip details.
“We’re devastated and heartbroken that Babes have now been missing for eight days. We need as many eyes searching for him as we just need a sighting so we can arrange a trap in that area.”

The couple said they have been putting posters up around Windermere, asking for help, but they keep being taken down.
Anyone who spots Babes in the Windermere area can email [email protected] and we’ll pass on the message to Carl and Gael.
