A Cumbrian cake maker has been shortlisted for two prestigious food awards.
Ginger Bakers, based in Kendal, has been named as a finalist in the Free From and Bakery Manufacturing categories in the Food Manufacture Excellence Awards 2023.
The awards have been celebrating the latest innovations and greatest achievements within the UK’s constantly evolving food and drink industry for over 20 years.
They aim to showcase innovation, thought leadership and responsible quality standards achieved by food and drink manufacturing businesses as well as team and individual achievements throughout the year and are widely regarded in the industry as the gold standard.
Lisa Smith, owner of Ginger Bakers, said: “Being shortlisted is a great boost for the whole team. The awards themselves help recognise the exceptional talent and innovation found across the food and drink sector and in doing so go some way to help to raise awareness of what we do as an industry, as well as showcasing the successes of individuals and businesses, whilst hopefully inspiring future talent to become involved in what is a truly diverse and exciting industry.’’
Winners will be revealed at an event at The Hilton in London in February.
