
Firefighters rescued a person trapped in a house on fire in Carlisle.
Three crews were called to Ennerdale Avenue on Saturday, December 10, at around 11.30am, with reports that someone was inside a property on fire.
A spokesman said: “A casualty was led to safety from the property by fire service personnel. One casualty suffering from smoke inhalation was given first aid and oxygen therapy by fire service personnel and was left in care of ambulance.”
Crews were on the scene for an hour and 10 minutes.
