A man is set to appear in court following an incident with knives in Carlisle yesterday.
Police were called after people saw a man brandishing two knives in the area of Borland Avenue – where the day before a man had been shot following an incident with armed police.
Ashley Wilson, 30, of Borland Avenue, Carlisle was charged with affray and possession of a knife blade in a public place.
He is to appear at Carlisle’s Magistrates Court today.
A police spokesman said: “This is unrelated to the incident on December 19.”
