There was festive fun for Gary McKee’s 357th marathon as Santas and elves turned out in force to support him.
Gary, of Cleator Moor, has just days to go until he completes his 365 Challenge – running a marathon every day during 2022 to raise funds for Hospice at Home West Cumbria and Macmillan Cancer Support.
He has been joined by people most days for his 26.2 miles. Earlier this week, England Rugby coach Kevin Sinfield, who has been recognised by BBC Sports Personality of the Year for his fundraising work, ran with Gary.
This morning saw dozens of people dress up and join Cumbria’s Marathon Man.
Gary has raised over £380,000 for the charities, which he holds close to his heart.
Photographer Elwyn Evans has been chronicling Gary’s challenge and here are some of his photos.
