
A 15-year-old boy was tasered by police during an incident in Barrow.
Police were called to Goldsmith Street at around 11am today, January 1.
The reported incident involved a teenage boy causing criminal damage and a concern for his welfare. He was reported as being injured, including suffering cuts during the incident.
The 15-year-old, of Barrow, was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a bladed article in a public place and was tasered at the scene.
He was taken to Furness General Hospital for assessment and attention for his injuries. His injuries are not believed to be serious, said police.
