
A good Samaritan who intervened in an assault in South Cumbria has been urged to come forward by police.
Officers were called to Market Street in Ulverston on New Year’s Day at around 9pm after reports of a disturbance.
A man sustained minor injuries and a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage. He was released on bail.
Police said they were told that a member of the public intervened but left prior to officers attending the incident and they would like to speak to this person.
