A man accused of the murder of a Whitehaven student is set to go on trial later this year.
Jason Brockbanks, a 24-year-old student at Northumbria University, was found dead in his Newcastle flat on September 27.
Aaron Ray, 21, of Sunderland, faces a murder charge.
He appeared at Newcastle Crown Court today for a case management hearing.
It was confirmed that the trial is scheduled to begin on March 15 at the city’s crown court.
