A 26-year-old man has been arrested on fraud charges after an incident in Workington town centre last Friday.
It was reported that a woman was approached by a man asking to withdraw money.
Allerdale Police said they had made the arrest – which was connected to a post on social media – and the man had been bailed pending further enquiries.
He was arrested on suspicion of fraud by false representation.
