There were only four games in the Workington Sunday League but they produced a remarkable 33 goals.

The Sunday goal feast was made up of scores – 7-3, 6-5, 6-3 and a relative serene 3-0!

Heading the way were champions Northside who won 7-3 at Dearham with goals from Callum Killick (2), Lewis Whitehead (2), Jamie Bramley, Chad Grisedale and Gary O’Driscoll.

Dearham replied through Aaron Lister, Atlee Skillen and Brandon Brown.

Northside’s nearest rivals Blue Bell were 6-5 winners against Rangers.

There were two goals apiece for Tom Powell, Steven Maxwell and Carl Denver as they just managed to outscore their opponents.

Rangers were desperately close to an upset with goals from Gareth Brunton (2), Liam Williamson (2) and Paul Lomas.

Deer Orchard were 6-3 winners at home to Salterbeck as Ryan Carruthers led the way with a hat-trick.

Also on target were Conor Hammill, Milo Cooke and Arran Watters.

It was only 3-0 for Seaton Rangers against Sun Inn Athletic, but of huge importance as it was their first win of the season.

The points were delivered with goals from Jack Reid, Ryan Mahoney and Dan Graham.

League games for this Sunday are headed by the top clash Northside v Blue Bell. Also in the League: Salterbeck v Sun Inn Athletic; Sun Inn v Deer Orchard.

Cup games: Maryport Athletic v Dearham; Rangers v Flimby Social.
