Kendal Town have taken Workington Reds winger Obua Mugalula on loan.
Mugalula has been training with the Reds since late November but has only played one game.
He started the Fred Conway County Cup game at Windscale and scored three minutes into his debut, impressing with his pace.
Manager Danny Grainger said: “He was going to play last week against Carlisle United in the County Cup again but unfortunately it was postponed.
“He is going to Kendal to get some game time in the North West Counties League. We have Jordan Palmer back at Carlisle City for exactly the same reason.”
Mugalula went into the Kendal side for their League game at Prestwich Heys tonight.
Meanwhile Grainger said that his two-week pursuit of a new face has ended in disappointment when no deal was forthcoming.
However he added that he is talking to a club about bringing one of their players in on loan.
“I think we should know in the next 48 hours what’s going to happen there,” he said.
“I’m just trying to freshen things up a little for the push over the second half of the season for promotion.”
