Barrow Raiders hope Bluebirds boost bumper crowd

Barrow Raiders are hoping their crowd will be boosted on Saturday by supporters of the town’s football team.

Barrow AFC season ticket holders will be granted free entry to the opening game of the Betfred Championship season against Toulouse Olympique.

With the Bluebirds embarking on a 566-mile round trip to Colchester United this weekend, the Raiders are inviting season ticket holders who do not make the journey.

If supporters have both a Barrow AFC and Barrow Raiders season ticket, the Raiders season ticket can be given to a friend.

Barrow AFC fans will need to bring their Bluebirds season ticket to the ground with them.

The Raiders are hoping to see a bumper crowd for the first Championship game of the season as Paul Crarey’s side lock horns with Toulouse, who were relegated from the Betfred Super League last season.

Barrow Raiders chairman Steve Neale said: “We are determined to continue to grow our crowds and welcome the town’s football supporters to sample the matchday experience at the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium.

“We hope they enjoy their day and perhaps get the bug to return throughout the summer.”

All paying entrants before 2pm will also receive a £5 voucher to spend on food and drink. This offer also applies to all season ticket holders.
