Five fire crews tackled a garage and house blaze near Sedbergham.
The alarm was raised at around 4.45pm yesterday, February 4.
Fire engines from Carlisle East, Carlisle West, and Wigton were mobilised to reports of a garage on fire, which had spread to the attached house.
Crews discovered a well developed fire involving the garage, and upstairs bedroom of the property.
Further appliances were requested, and Maryport and Penrith also attended.
The fire was brought under control and prevented from spreading to the rest of the house.
